3M Helps Ferarri Pull Off Italian Job

Seven of the most prestigious cars in Britain - Enzo Ferraris valued at more than £500,000 apiece - have been flying the flag for the UK at the Ferrari World Finals at The Mugello International Circuit in Florence, Italy.
 

Ferrari UK wanted to apply Union Jack flags and Ferrari logos which would 'stick fast' to the 200+ mph performance sports cars. But they could not risk any damage to their customers' prized vehicles, and needed to be sure the graphics could also be removed without leaving a trace at the end of the five day event in October.

So Ferrari turned to global technology company, 3M, to provide the adhesive film for the job, confident in their ability to 'pull off' the Italian job - which they did, in conjunction with Reading-based print and installation company, VgL.

The UK Ferrari owners participated in laps of honour at the end of the days' events, which included the final rounds of the season for the Italian, European and American Ferrari 360 Challenge Pirelli Trophy series, along with the traditional season-closing race to decide the outright champion.
